Smashbox cosmetics is branching out to Huntington Beach, CA to connect with a new clientele. The Smashbox brand is known for its photo finish beauty products that aim for perfection. Keeping their identity intact, this expansion aims to adapt a more sustainable and green culture throughout the company. Smashbox has a raw and edgy image, and we aim to form a balance between the contrast of earthy and urban. Starting from the new location, to the entire development and production process. The transition will capture the balance between the contrasts to make a positive impact for the future of the beauty industry.

Disney is all about imagination, and for the most part their offices embody that idea. For the specific office of Disney Interactive in Glendale, CA there is a lack of creativity in the space. For this office space I intend to create a work area that promotes collaboration and initiative to create. There will be collaborative spaces and an open office solution with terrace system furniture. There will also be an office gym to promote health and well being, while also providing an outlet for creative frustration. For those not as interested in the gym there will be a game room that also provides an outlet while also testing out the current products to search for improvements or updates. This office will embody everything that Disney represents and also will provide an enjoyable work environment for the user.
Reception Desk:
Being the first thing people see when walking through the doors of Disney Interactive, the reception desk is designed to draw attention. Inspired by Mickey Mouse and Walt Disney’s famous quote, it connects the user to the idea that it was all started by a mouse.
Collaborative Space:
Disney Interactive specializes in making multi-platform video games and interactive entertainment. Keeping this in mind, this collaborative space is designed towards to cater to the employees and the products being created. The open design and modular seating gives the user a variety of options in their collaborative endeavors. Conceptually the design is inspired by Walt Disney’s famous quote “I only hope that we never lose sight of one thing, that it was all started with a mouse.”
Workstations:
The workstations are designed for the marketing department of Disney Interactive. The layout of the workstations cater to the needs the employee’s have of privacy but also gives them the option to come together and have a collaborative session.
